Chatting with Blandina, a senior living in a nursing home who only speaks Spanish.
I volunteered in the Virtual Park Bench program through OHS’s Community Engagement Club to connect with seniors living in nursing homes during the pandemic. I enjoy every weekly meeting with Blandina because we talk about almost everything — favorite foods, favorite places to travel, our dreams — all in Spanish.
