Eddy Li, Staff Writer

Eddy is a full-time 8th grader at OHS, and has been an OHSer since 7th grade. At OHS, Eddy is very interested in a variety of topics, such as mathematics, science, and philosophy. Outside of school, he enjoys reading science fiction and reactional mathematics (Andy Weir, Martin Gardner, and Marcus du Sautoy are among his favorite authors), as well as biking and visiting national parks (not to mention getting stuck in the Seattle Airport on the way to Alaska for over twelve hours). In addition, Eddy enjoys comedy in all forms, whether it is watching Saturday Night Live and Chinese manzai standup comedy, or if it is writing satirical and hilarious “news” reports. This year, he plans to write about scientific innovations as well as social issues, such as the potential harms of technology (drones, algorithms, etc.) on our daily lives. Eddy is excited to be part of the Observer!
